P3NS had a visit today from theatre nurse Jacqui Quick. The children have been learning about the body in their topic work, including the skeleton and the major organs. Jacqui gave a brilliant talk about her work in the operating theatre at Raigmore Hospital. She dressed the children up in operating gowns and showed them the equipment the surgeons use and the replacement joints they fit to people in some operations.
A big thank you to Jacqui – maybe it’s inspired one or two to think about a career in medicine/ healthcare!
