We won’t be able to run our usual after school and lunch time clubs after Easter as we’re still under the annoyance of COVID. This is disappointing as we were hoping to start up again but it looks like it will be in the new school year when we are able to offer all our clubs. However, Highlife Highland has organised an outdoor athletics club starting 9th May – if there are parents who are able to volunteer.
Smithton Primary Athletics Club
Parent volunteers Jenna Gray and Sophie Chisolm have kindly offered to run the Active Schools athletics club starting on Monday 9th May until Monday 27th June at Smithton Playing Field opposite the school. The first session will be for P1-P4s 3.15-4pm and the second session will be for P5-P7s 4 – 4.45pm. We will require parent volunteers to help with this club to undertake basic duties such as setting up/clearing equipment, registration for signing in and out, supporting youngsters at a station and generally keeping an eye on the kids. Please contact Active Schools Coordinator lynne.fraser@highlifehighland.com if you are available to help. Both sessions are on the High Life Highland booking system where you can now book in advance https://booking.highlifehighland.com There is no cost. Confirmation of your booking will be made via email prior to the first session commencing.
