A message from Andrew, the health Development Officer based at Smithton but working across the Council:
We are running Bikeability for both Mr Hardie’s class (Mondays) & Miss Nicol’s class (Tuesdays). Can you please ensure your child: returns their permission slip, brings their bike to school, brings a helmet and suitable clothes for cycling. (If your child doesn’t have a bike and/or helmet, we can provide them with one to borrow for the sessions). We will be running theses sessions once a week till the end of term.
Also, P7s are attending ‘Funky Fridays’ youth club at the school 6pm – 7pm with Andrew and me. It won’t be on tomorrow but will be back next Friday.
The COVID-19 restrictions update is that there is no change yet so please ensure all adults in the playground wear a mask unless exempt and you should maintain distance between each other. Assemblies will remain online and no extra curricular clubs will be running from the school although Highlife Highland have been given permission.
Classes are still encouraged to learn outside for at least a third of the day so please ensure your child comes to school with suitable clothing. Contact me directly if you require extra support for warm clothing. email@example.com
You will notice that the nursery fence has been put up at last. Thanks to the contractor for doing this. We will adapt the coming in/leaving system when we see how it works on Monday.
The nights are definitely drawing in! please remind your child about road safety before and after school when the light is not great and for any drivers who drop off/pick up children…please remember to be considerate as you park. A wee reminder from P2
Enjoy the last few days! See you Monday just before 9am.
