After yesterday’s announcement I just wanted to reassure you that we are working behind the scenes to get things right as much as possible for you and your families. I have to wait and see exactly how much I can put our plan into action and how much the council will make decisions but, if possible, we have a solution going forward.
Please try to stay calm and relaxed – there are some things in our control to worry about (my house is a tip, there’s washing needing to get done and I haven’t bought food for Christmas yet – but these are things within my control to get sorted!) and there are some things that are completely unpredictable and we can do nothing about – so let’s not become anxious around those things.
The next two days will be as ‘normal’ as possible in school and staff will try and be as relaxed as possible, too.
However, there are things that you can do to help us get ready for the new year:
Should you be getting free school meals? Check this link
Are you eligible for free wifi to allow your child to work from home? Check this link
On a lighter note and to keep things ‘normal’ for the week leading up to Christmas, get ready for the nursery performance and the P1-3 Nativity tomorrow afternoon at 1.30pm. PUt your feet up for a few minutes and do please leave messages of encouragement on the blog when the link is sent tomorrow. Watch this report from SSSTV to whet your appetite…
Enjoy the rest of the sun and daylight today and we’ll see you in the morning.
