After a successful soup making afternoon with Mr Speakman last week Gabriel made us all some homemade minestrone, especially for his dad who’s choked with the cold. He even made some cheese biscuits to go with it, giving some to our older neighbours to keep them warm in this cold weather. Very proud of him: not only was the soup yummy he was demonstrating Smithton school values being very caring and thinking of others. Aria also go involved too making some quiche. Little masterchefs in the making.
Lifelong skills in the making. It’s been great extending the learning. Last year Mr Speakman was given development time to get food technology up and running this year so it’s been great to get a few classes started! The Family Team will also be running cooking programmes for families so watch this space on the blog….
