Where would we be without our wonderful community? It was lovely to see so many people at the fete this afternoon and we are very thankful for the money that you spent to help us pay for transport and extras for our young people.
Mrs Cornish has banked £1535.83!
A magnificent effort as always from you all. We trust you are sitting back having a cuppa and some of the tasty baking that friends and relatives made for the afternoon. Or perhaps you’re reading a new book, or cuddling that new teddy, or showing off your face paints and nails! Thanks, too, for all the help that people gave behind the scenes – it’s a true team Smithton achievement.
We had a visit from Mrs Penny Howie – the head teacher from before my time here – she looked fantastic and is enjoying life in Spain. Many of our parents and friends will remember her. I discovered today that she reads the blog and keeps up with all our news on the website so if you’re reading this, Mrs Howie, you’re welcome here anytime.
We look forward to the Parent Council disco on Tuesday and the end of term assembly on Friday at Smithton Free Church 9.30am. More information next week.
Have a good weekend, and thank you again.
