Inverness Shopping Park want to reward a local child under the age of 12 who has gone above and beyond to help or inspire others through reading.
One lucky winner will receive £150 National Book Tokens: £50 for them and £100 for their school so they can buy lots of new stories to enjoy.
They’ll also give one runner up a copy of David Walliams’ best-selling children’s novel, ‘The Midnight Gang’.
A Reading Hero can be any child you know who has done something amazing through reading. Perhaps they’ve helped others with reading at school, read to an elderly or poorly relative or perhaps they have overcome their own difficulties with reading and so are an inspiration to others.
If you know an inspirational child that you think fits the bill, nominate them by clicking on the link below and filling in the short form saying why they deserve to win in no more than 200 words.
The competition is linked to the Young Readers Programme, a National Literacy Trust initiative in partnership with Inverness Shopping Park and its co-owner British Land, designed to encourage children to read for fun in their spare time.
Good luck!
